IMBA IS COMING!

Join the IMBA Subaru Trail Care Crew for Trail Work on the OO McIntyre Park Districts -Raccoon Creek County Park Trails Project.
The IMBA Crew will be here for 3 days giving classroom and trail building demonstration along with members of the Ohio Valley Bicycle Club on the dates above.
Please stayed tuned for the final schedule of events. Planned is a classroom session, a day of trail building on the first phase of "The Mac" system (a brand new trails project in Gallia County Ohio that will add 500 acres and about 25 miles of new single track to southern Ohio), and a post work day dinner and social with the IMBA Crew.

OLE BLUE SAYS: COMEON DOWN TO THE "FARMHAND XC"
"FARMHAND" CROSS COUNTRY MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE
SEPTEMBER 12th and 13th, 2009
For 2009 the Farmhand XC is a WVMBA sanctioned points event and will have two days of racing with a short track race on saturday evening and the cross country race on Sunday.
Blue swears by it...."Good Mout'n bikin and best sausages you ever had"!

The Bob Evans Farm "Farmhand Cross Country MTB Race is operated and sponsored by members of the Ohio Valley Bicycle Club. This event is entirely supported by the bike club and through various in kind donations and prizes from local bike shops. We are grateful to Bob Evans Corporation for allowing us to have our event on their property. We also thank them for their donation of the Farm Boy Patties, Brats, and Smokey Boy Sausages for our post ride cookout. In supporting the Farmhand you are supporting mountain bikers just like you to continue building and maintaining trails at the highest level for the public to enjoy. Please help us continue the tradition of the Farmhand another year by patroning our race.

OVBC's Mission Statement:
The Ohio Valley Bicycle Club (OVBC) is a non-profit organization formed for the purpose of promoting the activity of bicycling in a socially responsible and law-abiding manner. The Club is for anyone interested in cycling. The Club strives to bring awareness to the public of the physical health, mental, and social benefits that are associated with the activity of bicycling. The OVBC holds meetings, social gatherings, supports charities, and holds group cycle rides. The Club also promotes special activities and events that are open to Club members and the public. It is also a goal of the OVBC to work within our community to promote and encourage safe bicycling activities that create recreation access and tourism in our local area.
